Happy Holiday Cabins is a fishing-oriented camp that consists of 4 house-keeping cottages available for rent weekly and nightly. Each cottage has its own frontage and view of the lake. Although we've been here for 19 years now, the business has been operating for over 90 years.
Families that come here like to sunbathe, swim, water-ski and fish and generally enjoy outdoor activities by a lake. 75% of our customers are repeat families who return year after year--some have been coming for over 40 years!
Our basic cottages are clean, comfortable and most of all affordable for the average family who enjoys lakeside activities. All cottages are equipped with electric heat, stoves/ovens and refrigerators, full double beds, single beds or bunks and indoor washroom facilities including sink and toilet. ****New this year-- free wireless internet****
Running water pumped from a well runs to every kitchen and water pumped from the lake runs to all bathrooms & showers. Three cottages ( #4, #5 and #6) have been upgraded to include showers. There is a separate shower house available to Cottage #7.
Each cottage has its own dock, picnic table, fire pit and lake frontage. Campfires cannot be lit until after 6 pm and must be put out before going to bed. It is illegal to transport wood from some parts of Ontario--check the regulations. We sell split and dried firewood here at the camp which is from a local supplier. All cooking utensils, including kettles, toasters, coffee makers, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery is supplied.
THINGS TO BRING:
Pillows and extra blankets are supplied--please bring your own linens, sleeping bag, towels, dish towels, soap and personal items.
You may want to bring drinking water. Although the kitchen water is supplied by an artesian well (spring fed), it is untreated and untested. We recommend that you boil the water here as it is delicious and pure spring water. All tests done in previous years have shown the water to be suitable for drinking.
Other things you may like to bring are lawn chairs, fans if its hot. You are welcome to share the use of the barbecue located at the beach but if you want to barbecue exclusively at your cabin you must bring your own.
